Muzeum
Beckov je vysunutou expoziciou Trencianskeho muzea, ktore bolo
spristupnene v roku 1988 a sidli v renesancnej kurii rodiny Ambrovcov z 1. polovice 17.-teho
storocia. Je v nom umiestnena expozicia dejin Beckova, jeho vyznamnych dejin a samozrejme aj
hradu Beckov. Vyznamnou castou expozicie su materialy o vyznamnych rodakoch Beckova (J.M. Hurban,
L. Mednansky, A. Mednansky, D. Stur, a inych).
Osobitnou
castou su exponaty pripominajuce tradicne remesla obce a okolia. V expozicnych priestoroch je
vystaveny aj historicky nabytok zo slachtickych interierov okolitych kastielov a kurii. Zaver tvoria
materialy k dejinam spisovneho jazyka a uzakonenia slovenciny. Na dvore najdeme ukazky tradicnych
polnohospodarskych nastrojov a dopravnych prostriedkov slovenskej dediny nedavnej minulosti.
The
Beckov Museum is an extended exhibition of the Trencin
Museum. It was open in 1988. The adapted Renaissance manor of the Ambro family from the 1st half
of the 17th century houses an exhibition of the history of
Beckov castle and its prominent personalities. The materials on view document the history of the
castle, of the feudal townlet and its natives (J.M. Hurban, L.Mednansky, A.Mednansky, D.Stur, etc.),
crafts and popular occupations.
There is also a collection of historical furniture from the nearly chateaus and manors. The
exhibition is completed with material on the history of our literary language and codification os
Slovak language. In the yard we find specimens of farm implements, simple machines and means of
conveyance.
